Coffee & Cream: Networking, Community, and Connection at the Fuller Art Museum

Breaking Through Roadblocks (BTR) recently hosted our Coffee & Cream Networking Event at the Fuller Art Museum, bringing together community leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, friends, and supporters for an evening centered around one simple idea: building meaningful connections through conversation and community.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was something special. Great food, an incredible live performance by Sweet Plantain Strings, an outstanding DJ, and the unique setting of the museum created the perfect backdrop for people to relax, connect, laugh, and build new relationships.

More Than Just Networking

Coffee & Cream wasn't designed to feel like a traditional networking event. We wanted people to genuinely enjoy themselves while meeting individuals they may not normally have the opportunity to connect with.

Throughout the evening, conversations happened naturally. New introductions were made, ideas were exchanged, relationships were strengthened, and people from different backgrounds came together in a welcoming environment.

With the beautiful backdrop of D.W. Field Park, the Fuller Art Museum provided a setting that helped make the evening memorable.

A Special Recognition for BTR

One of the highlights of the evening was having Brockton City Councilor Jeff Channel join us in support of the event and the work of Breaking Through Roadblocks.

Councilor Channing presented BTR with an Official Citation recognizing our organization and its continued commitment to the community. We are extremely grateful for the recognition and, more importantly, for the support of leaders who understand the importance of organizations creating positive spaces for people to connect, grow, and support one another.

The citation represents more than an award for BTR. It is encouragement to continue doing the work.

Great Food, Music & Atmosphere

Of course, Coffee & Cream wouldn't have been the same without the atmosphere.

Guests enjoyed great food while Sweet Plantain Strings delivered an amazing live performance, bringing a unique energy and musical experience to the evening. Their performance helped create the perfect setting for conversation, connection, and celebration.

Our DJ kept that energy going throughout the event, helping transform Coffee & Cream from simply a networking gathering into a true community experience.

There was business being discussed, connections being made, music being enjoyed, and plenty of laughter throughout the room. That's exactly what we hoped Coffee & Cream would become.
