Levar Carey

Levar Carey, born in Boston and raised in Brockton, grew up in a single-parent household where he learned the values of structure, discipline, and resilience.

After graduating from Brockton High, life taught him how impactful choices can be—lessons he now shares to help others avoid the same pitfalls. A proud member of Union DC 35 since 2015, LeVar leads with compassion both on the job and in the community.

He founded Breaking Through Roadblocks (BTR) to guide men through growth and healing, and he runs T.A.R.G.E.T.S., a weekly youth program focused on life skills. LeVar also serves on the leadership team of Brockton’s 50 and 1 Initiative.

Rooted in love, accountability, and community, LeVar is committed to building brotherhood through shared experience and mentorship.
